On Monday, May 20, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., a lecture by Eleni Manakidou, Professor of Classical Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki will be held in the amphitheater of the Ancient Agora Museum. and Despoina Tsiafaki, Doctor of Classical Archeology and Director of Research at the “Athina” Research Center, titled “The university excavation of the Department of Archeology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. in Karabournaki”.
The event is part of the Lecture Series of the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Thessaloniki with the theme “Thessaloniki. Glimpses of History and its Monuments”. The aim of the program is to inform the public scientifically and thoroughly about the history and monuments of the city, but also to establish a stable and direct communication with the people who are interested in enriching their knowledge about the cultural heritage of Thessaloniki. In the series of Lectures, the scientific staff of EFAPOTH present the results of their research and collaborators of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki present excavation investigations in sites of competence of our Ephorate.
